Master Tile Setters

Premium Stair Finishing

Porcelain tile is not a material most people would think of for a staircase. However, it actually provides a flat, firm and level surface that is scratch, stain and warp resistant making tile an ideal material choice for most staircases.

There are more color options for tile than hardwood or carpet with less visible wear and tear over the years. Preparation is a key element for the longevity of a tile staircase and the substrate must be completely solidified first. Our team of installers have advanced knowledge of concrete and wooden staircase preparation techniques that will ensure your new stairs will last a lifetime.

Professional Tile Installation

3rd Generation Tile Setter

Safety is our #1 priority so we recommend installing a Schluter TREP-S stair nosing profile with slip-resistant thermoplastic rubber wear surface that is available in black, grey, yellow, beige and brown.

If the Schluter stair nosing is not an option for your design then we can create a miter edge with slotted treads that can be filled with carborundum. In this application the stair tread and riser are pre-assembled with epoxy glue at our fabrication shop and delivered to the job site as one step.

There is a more traditional and simpler option that is a butt seam with the tread rounded to a bull nose shape and slightly overhanging the riser. An optional anti-slip stair nosing tape can be applied on the tread.
